Luna moths are certainly the most elegant of moths. Handmade and carved using the sgraffito method. I then filled the design with very delicate colors to enhance the carving detail and give the moth an ethereal glow. Nothing can compare to the beauty of nature itself but this vase surely evokes the feeling of seeing one of these huge moths.

This is a one of a kind. The vase you see here is the ACTUAL vase that will be sent to you. The interior is high gloss black and completely waterproof, (food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe…if you ever find the need to use this in a creative way for food you can certainly do that!). Made of Stoneware, it is strong and durable. The exterior is a matte black finish with a bit of texture (hand feel is velvety) that will get even more smooth over time and with use.
